On June 1st 2009, at Fredonia High School, Chautauqua Hosting and Design gave away its first annual Computer Science Scholarship. The recipient, Mr. Thomas Conti, was chosen by Mr. Andrew Pingator, the Computer Science teacher at Fredonia. The criteria for this award were the following.
- The student needed to be a graduating senior with good academic standing.
- The student must also have taken computer related courses at Fredonia High School
- The student must have an interest in, and excel in the field of computer science
